Recreation Manitoba understands that each organization has its own policies on the disclosure of salaries in job positing. Youth Program Coordinator - Dakota Community Centre

Youth Program Coordinator directly oversee all aspects of the youth program and youth sport coordination under the direction of the Fitness, Sport and Recreation Manager, including budget planning and control, program design, client communication and internal collaboration with internal team members who are integral to creating a successful program.

This diverse role requires a professional who is enthusiastic, motivated and excels in managing multiple tasks.  The Coordinator understands the needs of youth in both sport and recreation. You understand the importance of age-appropriate programming and provide opportunities to youth of all abilities. You understand the different dynamics of this demographic group and can research, implement, and evaluate programs related to the various stages of childhood. Programs and services will engage youth in sport, recreation, day camp, and learning opportunities. Given the scope of programming, this position will require occasional evening and weekend hours.

Leisure Services Programmer (Part Time) - Rural Municipality of La Broquerie

Recreation Assistant - Recreation Manitoba

Recreation Manitoba is looking for 1-2 youth (aged 15 to 30 years old) that will be employed in the parks and recreation sector and will take part in an immersive learning experience through hands- on training and mentorship opportunities. The goal of this role is to provide job placements for youth, particularly those facing barriers, allowing them the opportunity to gain skills and build experience in a workplace setting.

Learn to Skate Instructor - City of Brandon

The Learn to Skate Instructor is focused on helping individuals develop fundamental skating skills in a fun and safe environment at Brandon’s Community Sportsplex. This position involves preparing individual program plans, instructing skating programs and evaluating the progress of program participants while promoting interest and encouraging participation in program activity. Instructors work to ensure that participants have a positive experience and are performing the skills in a safe manner as set out in the established programs.

Recreation Manger - R.M of St. Andrews

The Recreation Manager is responsible for the day- to-day operations of the St. Andrews Community Club and the various programs, events and rentals occurring in the facility. Supports and assists in the delivery and expansion of recreation and leisure services for residents of the RM. Recruits, trains and ensures appropriate volunteer staffing coverage for all hours of operation. Researches, plans, and develops new and evaluates and improves existing programs and services both for the Club and the RM as a whole. Promotes effective public communications and manages the community club website, event calendar and social media platforms. Manages all community club contracts and prepares a variety of reports for the Director of Recreation and/or the Community Club Board. Attends Club Board meetings and works with volunteer board members and other community volunteer groups. Identifies and applies for external funding programs. Acts for and performs the duties and responsibilities of the Recreation Director in their absence. The work week may include evenings and/or weekends as required with a flexible work agreement schedule in place.

Full-time bargaining unit position that reports to the Recreation Director for the RM of St. Andrews; 35 hrs/wk.; salary range from $47,000 - $53,000 dependant on qualifications, with a municipal benefit package after a 6-month probation period. The primary job location will be at the St. Andrews Community Club and the RM of St. Andrews office.

Lifeguard/ Instructor - City of Brandon

The City of Brandon is now accepting applications for the position of Lifeguard/ Instructor. This position entails standard lifeguarding and instructing duties at Brandon’s Community Sportsplex. Successful incumbents will be required to provide instruction in the many pool programs offered at the facility. Lifeguard/Instructors are responsible for the general maintenance, care, and conditions of the pool area. Incumbents will work a variety of shifts during days, evenings, and weekends which may include split shifts.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not currently hold all of the mandatory qualifications or they are not current you may still apply for this position as long as you are enrolled in the proper courses/re-certifications needed to meet the mandatory qualifications listed below. If hired, you will be required to attain all of the mandatory qualifications within a specified period of employment. Preference will be given to applicants possessing all of the mandatory certifications and one or more of the preferred qualifications.

The Rural Municipality of St. Clements is looking for a Communications Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and personable, with great communication skills.

The Communications Officer is responsible for outgoing public communications, including website and social media management, email blasts, event promotion, advertising, communications planning, media releases, public education, graphic design, internal and external newsletters, photography, speechwriting, report writing and data analysis, PowerPoint presentations, developing and managing public engagement, serving as tourism point person including participation in local destination marketing organizations.
