Manager of Parks, Facilities, and Sanitation

The Town of Carberry is currently seeking applications for the full time position of Manager of Parks, Facilities, and Sanitation. 

Reporting to the CAO’s, the Manager of Parks, Facilities, & Sanitation is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all jointly operated facilities, the Parks & Recreation staff, Cemetery, parks and greenspaces, and oversight of solid waste contracts and transfer station planning and operations.

A minimum of grade 12 education, excellent people and communication skills, above average computer skills, and a class 5 drivers licence is required.

RM OF ST CLEMENTS

Recreation Manager

The RM of St. Clements is currently accepting applications from individuals for the Recreation Manager Position.

The ideal candidate will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. The Recreation Manager is responsible for a strategy for community recreation planning, implementing, and managing a broad range of community recreation services; promoting leadership and volunteer development, encouraging maximum community involvement and coordination with independent community organizations.

A post-secondary education in recreation or a related field with a minimum of five years related experience in a government environment is preferred. This experience shall include personnel management, program planning and management. Excellent leadership and facilitation skills and an ability to effectively communicate with the public, council and staff are necessary. The use of a vehicle for business purposes is required.

The RM is a progressive, growing community, situated along the east side of Lake Winnipeg and a short commute to Winnipeg.

    Project Coordinator, Anti-Racism in Sport Campaign

    The Project Coordinator will coordinate the development and implementation of Winnipeg Anti-Racism in Sport Campaign. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the campaign’s Advisory Committee, the Communications Coordinator, and reports to IPW’s Project Manager and Director. The Project Coordinator will conduct research, develop and arrange in-school presentations, and develop and deliver training for sport stakeholders as part of the campaign. The Project Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment; the ability to adapt, change and manage multiple project components in a timely manner are essential.

    Hours of Work: This is a full-time term position. IPW has a 35hr work week. The hours will take place primarily during regular business hours but there will be substantial evening and weekend work required.

    Term:  January 4, 2021 to March 31, 2022

    Workplace: A combination of working remotely and at the office.

    Salary: The salary is $50,000 with benefits (after six months).
