Due to a lot of concerns being raised last year surrounding tobogganing and a number of other winter activities, we’ve developed the Managing Winter Risks workshop, which is being hosted by Recreation Manitoba.
The winter season brings new activities and challenges for parks and recreation departments. Here is your chance to attend a practical workshop to learn about the real liabilities and risks associated with winter use of your parks and facilities and the steps you can take to improve service delivery and operation of your department. Using many examples of liability losses and injuries, workshop leader, Doug Wyseman drives home the need for written policies and procedures and provides copies of same.
Topics discussed will include
