Course Overview
The Aquatic Facility Operator course is an intensive 3-day course designed for those individuals responsible for operating and maintaining public aquatic facilities such as swimming pools, spray pads and whirlpools. This course provides in-class and hands-on practice and is designed for Operators with little or no previous experience or knowledge of aquatic facility operations.

Communicable Disease Control
Swimming Pool Equipment and Recirculation
Swimming Pool Water Filtration
Swimming Pool Water Chemistry
Swimming Pool Water Disinfection
Chlorine
Other Chemicals
Whirlpools
Swimming Pool Operation and Maintenance
Safety Awareness
Mathematics for Aquatic Facilities
Upon successful completion, participants should be familiar with the Manitoba Public Health Act which governs the operation of aquatic facilities in the Province of Manitoba and be able to safely and confidently operate and maintain their aquatic facility.

Participants will be sent a pre-course assignment which must be completed in advance of the first day of class.Recommended:
Students should have a good understanding of Mathematics at the Grade 12 level
