NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Members of Recreation Connections Inc., operating as Recreation Manitoba, (the Corporation), is called and will happen on: 

Date: Thursday, September 25, 2025 

Time: 1:00 pm (CDT) 

Location: Gimli, MB (in person) and electronically (MS Teams) 

* Lunch will be provided for those individuals attending in person

 The purpose of the meeting is to: 

• Approve the minutes of the 2024 Annual General Meeting; 

• Receiving and considering the audited financial statements for the year ended 2025; 

• Electing Directors; 

• Appoint an auditor to conduct a financial review of the organization; and 

• Transacting such further and other business that may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment thereof. 

Board of Director Elections

There are five (5) positions available for election to the Board, including one position designated for a representative from the Therapeutic Recreation sector. 

We encourage nominations from all interested individuals, especially those:

• Located in the Parkland, Eastman or Norman Regions
• Experience with Parks, Trails and Green Spaces
• Experience with Aquatics
• Experience with Finance
• Expertise with Communications and Public Relations 
• Expertise with Instructional Design and Adult Education

According to organizational by-laws, all nominees must be in good standing with the organization and have an active membership by the annual general meeting date.

Nominations for Director at Large will open July 18, 2025 and close on September 5, 2025 at 4:00 pm CDT
