Registration and Cancellation Policy 

In effect as of April 1, 2024

Registration Policy 

• Full payment must be received within fourteen (14) calendar days of registering for any courses or events.  Payment may be done online through credit cards or by requesting an invoice at point of registration. Failure to pay by this deadline will result in the registration being cancelled.   

• An active Recreation Manitoba membership is required to receive the member’s rate for courses, training and events. Members must be signed into their membership page to receive member pricing.   

• If your membership expiry date is prior to the start date of the course/training, membership must be renewed to receive the member discount. Any outstanding course fees must be paid before the start of the workshop/course/event.

• Returned cheques (NSF) will be charged an additional $50 fee. 

Cancellation and Refunds Policy

• There are no refunds on membership fees. 

• Recreation Manitoba reserves the right to cancel workshops/courses up to seven (7) calendar days before the start date, due to low registration. No administrative fees will be charged, and a full refund will be issued to all registrants. Registration fees can be transferred to future courses. In the unfortunate event of course cancellation due to weather, facility issues, or other special circumstances, no administrative fees will be charged, and the participant will be offered a credit for future courses. 

• Any request for refund shall be delivered to Recreation Manitoba by written notice, directed by email to: info@recreationmb.ca. 

• A full refund, less a $35 administrative fee, will be issued upon receipt of written notice of cancellation by the registrant. This notice must be received by Recreation Manitoba no less than thirty (30) calendar days before the start of the workshop/course.  If the registration fee was equal to or less than $35, then the amount will be left on the account of the organization/individual. 

• Course registrations may be transferred to another individual, in the same organization, up until fourteen (14) calendar days before the start of the course/event, upon approval by Recreation Manitoba. 

• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made by the registrant within fourteen (14) calendar days of the course start date.  No refunds will be given for no-shows by the registrant to any course, training or event. 

• Requests for cancellations and refunds for workshops/courses under special circumstances will be considered upon request to Recreation Manitoba.
