    The Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) is a national organization dedicated to realizing the full potential of recreation and parks as a major contributor to community health and vibrancy.

    Recreation Manitoba is a voting member of the CPRA Board of Directors. The nomination period for the next MB representative is open until December 1, 2025.

    The Connect Conference is the provincial recreation conference that focuses on the development of recreation and parks leaders in Manitoba. It is part of Recreation Manitoba's education plan to help delegates grow their skills, knowledge, and network through the sharing of ideas, energy and passion.

    The Connect 2026 Trade Show Exhibitor Information package is now live and member early bird registration is open until December 5, 2025.

    Recreation Manitoba is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the provincial conference with a brand-new province-wide competition. This friendly contest will showcase creativity, teamwork, and regional pride through a series of five challenges running from October to February.
    Each of the seven regions has been assigned a colour and will compete to earn points through organized challenges and ongoing activities featured in our newsletter, website, and social media.

    Each year, our Awards Program pays tribute to those individuals and organizations who through their efforts and skills, make an outstanding contribution towards the advancement of recreation, parks and leisure in Manitoba.

    NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Members of Recreation Connections Inc., operating as Recreation Manitoba (the Corporation) is called and will happen on: 

    Date: Thursday, September 25, 2025 

    Time: 1:00 pm (CDT) 

    Location: Gimli, MB (in person) and electronically (MS Teams) 


     The purpose of the meeting is to: 

    • Approve the minutes of the 2024 Annual General Meeting; 
    • Receiving and considering the audited financial statements for the year ended 2025; 
    • Electing Directors at-Large; 
    • Appoint an auditor to conduct a financial review of the organization; and 
    • Transacting such further and other business that may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment thereof.

                We are seeking presenters who would like to be a part of the 2026 Connect Provincial Recreation Conference. This conference is designed to help our attendees grow their skills and knowledge through the sharing of energy, passion, and ideas.  Presentations can be 60 or 90 minutes in length, in different workshop/presentation formats, and look to provide solutions or ideas to the recreation sector and its practitioners across the province. Submit your application by August 31, 2025 through this online form.

                The 2025 Therapeutic Recreation Forum will take place on October 30, 2025 at The Leaf in Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, MB.


                We are seeking presenters who would like to present at this year's Therapeutic Recreation Forum. Presentations are 60-90 minutes in length, interactive, and can provide solutions or ideas to the practitioners in all clinical settings in the province.

                Join Baseball Manitoba for a hands-on Field of Play Maintenance Training Day, where volunteers will not only help improve our baseball fields but also learn essential skills for proper field care. 

                This event is perfect for anyone who wants to gain practical knowledge on maintaining a high-quality playing surface. Lunch will be provided.

                What You'll Learn & Do: 

                • Mound Maintenance and Repair 

                • Batters Box Maintenance and Repair

                • Infield Maintenance and Repair 

                No prior experience is necessary! Our team will provide demonstrations and guidance throughout the event. Tools and materials will be supplied.
